Physiotherapy.

What to Expect

At Physio by Design, we believe it’s the little things that count. Take the time to unwind and relax in a comfortable environment while treating yourself to good health.

Upon arrival, enjoy a selection of premium loose-leaf tea while you take a moment to select the music you would like playing during your treatment (the possibilities are endless).

Standard Consultations times vary between 20-40 minutes. All sessions are one-on-one basis with Fabian Tjin.

Fabian uses a hands-on approach during treatment, which consists of massage, soft tissue and joint mobilisations, stretching techniques, electrotherapy, dry needling and exercise prescription. It is important that you discuss any specific needs that you may have with your physiotherapist.

At Physio by Design, we strongly believe that your treatment doesn’t end at the conclusion of your appointment. In order to provide extra support during your rehabilitation or prevention journey, you will have access to video demonstrations of your prescribed exercise and are welcome to participate in any of our group exercise classes (bookings are essential).

Come Prepared

In order to get the most out of your physiotherapy appointment, there are a few things we’d like you to consider.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment’s scheduled start time. This allows for all administrative processes to be complete without cutting into your treatment time. It also allows you time to unwind and relax.

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment. This allows the best access to the site of treatment for more effective results. Appropriate draping will be provided where necessary.

Please bring any relevant medical documents with you to your appointment. This may include a medical history, Doctor’s referral letter (where one has been provided), x-rays or medical images or letters or reports from your specialist. Generally speaking, if it relates to your injury or the reason for your appointment, we’ll want to know about it.

Finally, if you have any concerns at any point before, during or after your treatment, please don’t hesitate to speak with your physiotherapist.
